Lexi

Lexi grew up in China and lived in Australia for 12 years before moving to the United States in 2018. She graduated from the University of Newcastle with a Bachelor of Nursing and worked as a post-anesthesia recovery nurse before becoming a tattoo artist.

Lexi has always considered tattooing a form of art, with a particular interest in its long history and evolution. After getting her first tattoo, she began sketching tattoo designs and was often commissioned to create designs for others while still working as a nurse.

After moving to the United States, she pursued college-level art studies while completing a full-time tattoo apprenticeship.

Lexi worked as a tattoo artist in Austin before she moved to College Station, where she created an all female artist studio - Sacred Sisters Tattoo. Her approach centers on female empowerment, friendship, and making every client feel safe, comfortable, and welcome.

As a tattoo artist, she has always believed that tattooing is more than just creating beautiful artwork. It is about creativity, connection, and continuous growth.

Over the years, she has discovered another passion alongside tattooing: teaching and mentoring aspiring artists. Having trained apprentices in the past, she has found it incredibly rewarding to share her knowledge, help others develop their skills, and watch them grow into confident artists.

She is now embarking on an exciting new chapter in her career, focusing more on tattoo education and helping shape the next generation of tattoo artists. While dedicating more of her time to teaching, she continues to work as a resident tattoo artist at Sacred Sisters Tattoo Studio, where she remains connected to the craft she loves.

For her, tattooing and teaching go hand in hand. One allows her to express her creativity, while the other gives her the opportunity to inspire others and pass on everything she has learned along the way.
